A Steinway is more than a piano — it’s a long-lasting investment in sound, craftsmanship, and heritage. Unlike general appraisals, Steinway-specific appraisal include documentation relating to history on manufacturing, value drivers like exposing potential non-Steinway parts.
A pitch raise is a corrective procedure used when a piano is well below standard pitch (A440). Unlike a regular tuning, which fine-adjusts strings already near pitch, a pitch raise carefully brings the overall tension of the piano back up in stages.
What a pitch raise involves:
Gradually increasing string tension closer to pitch
One or more preliminary passes to raise overall pitch
